Tired of looking at a picture of just a bunch of people? I thought so! So, here's a good picture of some our Chapter members
about to mount up for the Annual Polar Bear Ride, back in January. IF the weather will ever make up it's mind and decide if
it's going to actually be spring, maybe we'll get some newer pictures of people actually RIDING!

Welcome to our Chapter
We would like to
invite you to become a part of the Tuckessee Chapter, of the Harley Owners Group, and to take part in the many great activities
scheduled each riding season. (Events include an annual picnic, dinner rides, monthly meetings, fun rides, pick-up rides,
and state rallies, just to name a few)
Our monthly Chapter meetings are usually the first Saturday of the month at 6:30
PM at the building behind Appleton's Harley-Davidson dealership.
What is H.O.G.?
The Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) is dedicated to the
use and enjoyment of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The mission of H.O.G. is to:
Ride and Have Fun Safely.
Preamble (From the Chapter Handbook)
The Harley Owners Group® (H.O.G.) is an organization founded and sponsored by Harley-Davidson® Motor
Company. The group was established to offer motorcycling benefits and services to Harley-Davidson enthusiasts throughout the
world, and to develop a close relationship between the Harley-Davidson rider, the Harley-Davidson dealer and Harley-Davidson
Motor Company.
The opportunity to start an independent chapter affiliated with the Harley Owners Group is offered to
bring members together for the common interest of promoting motorcycling activities. The goal of each chapter is to generate
an increased level of enthusiasm for riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The (H.O.G.) Chapter, (is) a family-oriented and
a nonpolitical organization.
Article I – Purpose
- The purpose of the local chapter (is) to promote responsible motorcycling activities for Harley Owners
Group members by conducting chapter activities and encouraging participation in other H.O.G. events.
- Chapter activities and operations (are) conducted in a manner consistent with a family-oriented, nonpolitical
philosophy.
So, bring your wife, bring your kids, heck, bring your Mother-in-Law
(if you want to!), and come join in the FUN!

The last two Chapter Rides have been canceled,
at nearly the last moment, due to lack of Chapter Officers, and/or Road Captains, being able to make the rides. By H.O.G.
rules, we can not conduct a Chapter Ride, without a Road Captain, or Chapter Officer, most of whom are Road Captains. I'm
sure that many of you, may have been disappointed by these cancelations, as you may have been planning on going on those rides.
The next scheduled Chapter Ride is on June 15th, Destination: Ft. Donelson and lunch at Paris
Landing State Park. I am a bit of an amature historian and have volunteered to lead that ride. I have every intention of being
here for that ride and weather permitting, (remember the Chapter 50/50 rule), I WILL lead that ride. I am not a Road Captain,
so we will still need a Road Captain for the ride. HOWEVER;
Should we not have a Road Captain available that day, the "Official" designation as a "Chapter
Ride" will be dropped, and I will still lead that ride as a "Pick Up Ride"!
So, if you want to take a nice scenic ride to Ft. Donelson, spend an hour learning a little
local Civil War and military history, and having a late lunch at a great buffet at Paris Landing State Park, then join me
on June 15th for the ride and we'll have some FUN!
For those of you, who know me, you may be "dreading" going on a ride where Joe is the "history
tour guide"! But, I promise, not to give you a full fledged college level history lecture that'll bore you to tears! At both
the Surrender House, and Ft. Donelson proper, I will offer a few short historical notes that may be of interest to you, and
may be new to you, even if you've been there before, then we'll go on to lunch at Paris Landing.
So, I hope to see many of you there! For full details of times, etc., check the Chapter Events
Calendar on June 15th.
